When, Where and How much time?

The Wood Badge course is two weekends long starting on Friday morning at 8 AM and going to 4:30 on Sunday.

This year Green Mountain Council is holding a course in conjunction with our scouting friends from across the big pond in New York.  The course will be held August 28-30 and September 25-27 at Camp Sunrise in Bensen, Vermont. To register you must be a registered adult with the BSA and have taken the training associated with your primary registered position in scouting. For Cub Scout leaders this training would be This is Scouting (previously called New Leader Essentials) and Leader Specific training for your position in the Pack. For Boy Scout leaders, This is Scouting (or New Leader Essentials) and Scoutmaster Specific training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters is required. For committee members Troop Committee Challenge is the position specific training. Scoutmasters and Assistants must also take Outdoor Leader Skills.

Staff for this course have already begun preparations for the course. A great group of Scouters from Green Mountain Council and Twin Rivers Council are working hard to make this the best scout training you will ever attend. They wanted me to let you in on a secret, be prepared to have FUN!!!
