Mt. Norris Scout Reservation - Flood Damage & Repairs

Mt. Norris is open and providing the excellent quality program to the Scouts that we are famous for, but we have some real damage due to the flood on July 24th.  Scouts, Scouters, Board Members, & Camp Staff Members have all pitched in and have been working on the needed repairs and clean up.  We will be working on these projects for a couple of years.  The clean up will take lots of man hours and the creek restoration will take even more.

We have already had to bring in over 12 loads of road rock to get the roads into shape.  Even with the donation of truck services, the Council is going to need financial help to get the camp totally repaired.  We are going to have to move a campsite, embark on some major creek restroation and find a way to create a retaining wall to protect the main camp bridge.

We need your help, if you would be able to donate to help with the repairs and restoration, please use our secure donation link below.  We will be organizing some work events this fall to start the process and repairs.  Thank you for all the emails and help.  Together as a Council we will make Mt. Norris even better.
