Scout On Vermont Giving Tuesday
As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your past support of Vermont's Scouting Community and the Green Mountain Council. Your generous contributions have enabled us to provide high-quality, affordable programming to countless families across the state.
This year, our Scouting Community faced an unprecedented challenge. In July, historic flooding swept through the state, impacting businesses, families, and our very own Summer Resident Camp at Mt. Norris Scout Reservation. But in the face of adversity, the Council came together to endure and respond to the crisis, ensuring that our Scouts had a safe and enriching experience despite the challenges. In fact, the Council helped raise more than $11,000 to provide recovery grants to local families who had lost homes and livelihoods in the rising waters. Green Mountain Council has been able to do incredible things without raising its local annual program fee because of people like you who have supported our proven programs financially. This holiday season, as we celebrate welcoming more boys and girls to our campfire, you can help provide timeless wonder to families in Vermont while keeping Scouting affordable for others by making a year-end gift. |
