Fun, Friends, Challenge
A Cuboree is an exciting weekend where Cub Scouts practice new skills, complete adventures, and take part in friendly competitions. Activities may include crafts, games, outdoor challenges, and other hands-on learning experiences.
Activities at Cuborees
Every Cuboree offers a different program based on its theme, location, weather, and available facilities. However, each event gives Cub Scouts opportunities to learn, explore, and have fun with their families.
Throughout the day, Scouts rotate through activity stations designed for their age and experience level. In addition, many stations connect with required or elective Cub Scout Adventures.
Activities may include:
- Archery, BB target activities, or slingshots under trained supervision
- Hiking, nature study, scavenger hunts, and conservation activities
- Knots, first aid, fire-building demonstrations, and other Scout skills
- Crafts, building projects, and hands-on science activities
- Relay races, field games, and team-building challenges
- Climbing, or other camp activities when facilities allow
- Outdoor cooking, campfire programs, songs, skits, and storytelling
Most importantly, Cub Scouts learn by participating rather than simply watching. For example, they may practice working with a team, test a new outdoor skill, or create something connected to the event theme.
At the same time, parents and guardians share the experience with their Scouts. As a result, families can build memories, meet other members of the Scouting community, and discover new activities to enjoy together.
Specific activities may change from one event to another. Therefore, families should review the current event guide and registration information before arriving
